Art All Night

Art All Night by eL hue V
creating paintings for Leon Rainbow's Blacklight Lounge at Art All Night. I'll be showing with RAIN, KASSO, LANK, and Isais Crow.  Just black and white flicks for now. You'll have to wait until Sat. to see it in color under the blacklights. I will also be painting live at the event, which draws over 4k people!

DEMER, RAIN, LUV1

Got up with the Vicious Bros today at the good ol' Atelier.  I rocked a mascot and  I tried out some calligraf in pink along the bottom.  Painting on the door wasn't ideal, but I like how it turned out.  I really like RAIN's buff pattern and DEMER's effects as much as their burners.  I think it'd be interseting to see those two do a wall in abstraction like that.

Howling Wolf and Medicine Man

Howling Wolf and Medicine Man, originally uploaded by eL hue V.

Painted when it wasn't raining over the past couple of days with Aja at my spot in Flemington in the parking lot off main street.  The passerbyers were 100% on board luving it.  People flexing thier Native American History knowledge, a lady who collects wolf figurines, who originally told me "I collect wolves!"  I said "That sounds dangerous." Men working on refurbishing old buildings out there in and out of rain with us, having their lunch break watching us.  It was one of those walls where the process is as enjoyable as the outcome.  Aja's Crow Medicine Man is her first stencil and is now protecting the wall.  My howling wolf, which I orginally had a referance for and was going to try and go all photoreal on, turned out to be a bit on the free because during one of the downpoars I ran for cover, grabbing my camera only, and the referance got ruined.  The whole wall is a mixture of brushes, rollers, and spray.

Yonkers Wall

Got an email from Pose2 with some finished joiners of the wall we did up in Bonkers NY. Click on the flicks to enlarge. Pose's blog says the wall is 500 ft, to me it seemed even bigger. my part was 20ft tall, and Aja's to the right of me was even taller. She gets mad respect for doing all that wall with brushes! She got courage to be the only female and brush painter there. Tried to get her to hold some black lak for outlines, not interested, one day...
Top fick is Pose2's. Middle one is Rolo. Then left to right on the bottom one is

Many thanks to Pose2 aka Mr. Maxx Moses for inviting S.A.G.E. Collective out to Yonkers to paint. The wall is along the outfield of a baseball field and next to tennis courts in Fay Park. Pose2 was painting with Rolo on the other side of the wall. Was a great day with not a cloud in the sky. Here are some flicks.
