Makeshift Patriot

Sage Mural from luv1 on Vimeo.

It was a calculated symbolic, "how i was feeling at the time" moment to choose to paint Sage Francis on September 11th. See, he was one of only a few who spoke about what happened with critical thinking on that day. I mean no disrespect for the people who died that day, and don't believe this should cause it. If your family memeber was murdered wouldn't you want a detective to find out the truth about what happened in a full investigation? 9/11 was an inside job! It may not be politically correct of me to say that, but it's how I feel and I'm using my liberty while I still have it damnit.

So, yeah, about the painting...it was painted on 8ft x12 ft panels in Jersey City for something called "Raw Power" which is going to be an outdoor exhibit wrapping around a 100 year old building less than a mile away from the holland tunnel and 2 blocks from the Journal Square path station at 350 Warren Street. The opening is Oct. 3rd as part of the Jersey City Artists Studio Tour 2009. Other artists painting are Royce ELC, Gaia, Then One, Ron English and many many others. You should check it out, the work will be up for one year.
